FAQ for DJs
Questions and answers
Does it cost anything?
No. djbasen is free for DJs and users. We take no fees from the deals you make either.
Do I need a website?
No. Your profile on djbasen can be your website: it has its own address, brings your music, video, photos and contact details together, and is built to be found on Google. If you already have a website, you can link to it from your profile.
When does my profile go live?
As soon as you publish it. That takes a stage name, a profile photo, a city, at least one genre, one occasion, one number of guests and one visible contact method. Until then the profile is a draft that only you can see.
What can I see in my statistics?
How many people viewed your profile, how often you were shown in search, clicks on phone, email and WhatsApp, clicks on your links, and where visitors came from, for example Google or Instagram. For the last 7, 30 or 90 days. We count without cookies and store no IP addresses. We always count views, views in search and clicks on your contact details. We only count link clicks and plays when the visitor has said yes to statistics in our cookie banner, so the real numbers for those may be higher.
How do I share my profile?
Why does my number have to be clicked to show?
So bots can't collect your number and email from the page. Your details aren't in the page's code until a visitor clicks. Your statistics show how many people clicked.
Can I hide my profile?
Yes. Under Account in your dashboard you can unpublish the profile, which makes it a draft, or hide it. Both take it off search and its link, but nothing is deleted. You can show it again whenever you like.
How do I delete my account?
Under Account in your dashboard: tap "Delete account" and type DELETE to confirm. Your profile disappears at once, and your email, your name and your picture are removed straight away. The profile's texts, contact details, links and photos are deleted straight away too. The rest, such as stage name and statistics, is deleted after 30 days. You get an email when the account has been deleted.
We keep a few pieces of information longer: if we suspended your profile or closed your account, a one-way code of your email for 12 months, so it can't be used for a new account straight away, and our decisions in the moderation log for 3 years. See the privacy policy.
You can also delete just the profile and keep the account. If you want to keep your data first, you can export it as a file in the same place.
Can clients book me through djbasen?
Not yet. Clients contact you directly by phone, email or WhatsApp, and you agree on the rest yourselves.
Do I have to show a price?
No, it's optional. You can show a guide price for a typical event, for example "6,000–14,000 kr.". It must be the total price the client pays, including VAT if you are registered for VAT. Clients can filter by budget, and DJs without a price are shown too, unless the client only wants DJs with prices.
What decides how high I appear in search?
For "Best match", how complete your profile is counts 35%, how high you ranked the genre being searched for 25%, how recently you updated your profile 20%, the distance to the place 15% and chance 5%, so it isn't always the same DJs at the top. The genre and the distance only count when the client searches for them. Nobody can pay for a better position. Read more in the terms.
What does "Verified" mean?
That we have checked that you exist and work as a DJ, for example that your Instagram or website matches the profile. The badge is no guarantee of quality or prices, and we can remove it again.
